JOB PURPOSE
The post holder is responsible for managing and optimizing supplier relationships to ensure the selection of capable vendors, effective supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Evaluating and selecting new vendors based on established criteria and managing the onboarding process.
- Responsible for the documentation that controls the pre-audit of registering a vendor.
- Maintaining strong, positive relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise, and fostering open communication.
- Tracking vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Developing and implementing vendor management strategies and procedures to align with overall business objectives.
- Maintaining accurate vendor records, performance data, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure vendor activities are aligned with organizational needs.
- Drive the end-to-end management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and closure.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Degree in business, supply chain or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in vendor management.
- Preferably working in oil and gas industry.
- Experience in management of vendor data elements and understanding for data governance frameworks will be advantageous.
- Experience with vendor management systems (VMS).
- Knowledge of contract law and procurement processes.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
