SENIOR WELDING & PROJECT COORDINATION (WPC) ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

Degree in any engineering discipline (preferably welding or mechanical or materials or metallurgy)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

International Welding Engineer or AWS Certified Welding Engineer certification or Chartered Engineer in Welding Engineering or equivalent

Sound welding, NDT, metallurgy and QC knowledge
Good communication and leadership skills, able to manage team
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Proactive, committed, energetic, problem solving oriented
Strong client focus
Work in an organized and systematic manner, multi-tasking, able to prioritize tasks and resources
Able to control project’s cost / schedule to be within allocated budget / dateline
Able to mitigate project risks
Able to work independently as well as with all levels of personnel with minimum supervision
Able to work closely within a core team, able to take lead on subject matter when required
Efficient in time management and planning, able to meet deadline, able to adapt with schedule changes
Good management of client interface covering multi-clients with different standards and requirements
Good management of subcontractor and vendor
Able to produce excellent quality of deliverable / procedure / report / analysis / final documentation
Willing to travel frequently for project execution and bidding / tendering purposes

8 - 12 years of working experience in welding, NDT and QC
Welding, NDT, destructive testing (including corrosion and fracture mechanics), line pipe and fitting manufacturing, Engineering Critical Assessment, inspection for oil and gas industry
Pipeline (carbon steel and CRA including deepwater, SCR) and structural offshore / onshore installation
Project bidding / tendering (technical and cycle time)
Worldwide experiences in managing key clients (TOTAL, ExxonMobil, ENI, Shell etc.…)
