JOB PURPOSE
To support T&I projects in completing naval architectural deliverables for structure/ pipeline/ riser/ J-tube transportation & installation.
To provide review and feedback to EPCIC project when interact with detailed engineering group.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To review/perform jacket launching analysis
To review/perform jacket floatation and upending analysis or double block upending analysis
To review/perform transportation/ sea-fastening design analysis
To review/perform barge strength check
To review/perform barge selection and ballast calculation
To review/perform mooring analysis
To review/perform time domain engineering lift for heavy lift.
To review/ perform feasibility of float-over installation study
To review/perform tow tug bollard pull requirement check
To review/perform mooring chain abandonment and recovery analysis
To review/design sea-fastening/ tie-downs of the structures/pipelines includes miscellaneous welding checks.
To be familiarized with in-house asset vessel capabilities for station keeping either with mooring or DP.
To guide young marine engineers to ensure all the work done are compliance with internal quality check requirement before issuing to client/ MWS.
Ensure the engineering analysis/ calculation performed is in accordance with project specifications, client’s specifications, international codes and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Possess a Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural/ Mechanical/ Naval); from recognized Higher Learning Institution.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Possess at least eight (8) years total working experience in oil & gas industry; whereby at least 5 years should be in Transportation & Installation and/or detailed engineering. Possess direct involvement in T&I project execution in various type of contract, such as EPCIC or T&I projects
Registered with Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
Possess strong analytical skills
Strong command in written and spoken English
Possess good quality of leadership and passion in managing a team
Well-versed in various MWS requirements, and clients’ specifications for offshore operation and engineering.
Familiar with Engineering software such as MOSES, SACS, SIMA, Autocad
Familiar with marine guideline (i.e. API RP 2SK, DNV-ST-N001 etc.)
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills and able to liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally
Good in resource planning and able to work under tight schedule and limited resources
