JOB OVERVIEW

Support the Head, Group Taxation in managing and resolving tax-related matters across the Group. Perform detailed tax analysis, research, and advisory to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency. Lead the implementation of tax initiatives, prepare relevant reports and documentation, and provide tax input for business and project decisions.

 

 

Key accountabilities

  • Support the Head, Group Taxation in developing and executing tax planning strategies for the Group.
  • Evaluate tax positions and recommend measures to enhance compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
  • Conduct tax research and provide technical advice to business units on ad hoc tax matters.
  • Review provisional tax computations, effective tax rate analysis, and tax estimates for the Group.
  • Coordinate with subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns and related filings.
  • Assist in transfer pricing matters.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and auditors on tax queries, audits, and reviews.
  • Prepare and review tax-related reports, analyses, and papers for management and audit purposes.
  • Support the preparation of tax disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of tax-related initiatives and improvement projects within the Group.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of the Group’s e-invoicing project and other tax-related initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support for post-implementation compliance, monitoring, and reconciliation activities.
  • Review tax-related terms in contracts and proposals and identify implications and opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide tax guidance for corporate initiatives (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, or other strategic transactions).
  • Any other tax related matters as required from time to time.

 

 

Qualification/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, CTIM or equivalent is preferred.

 

 

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in tax advisory, compliance, or corporate taxation, preferably in a group or multinational environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of local tax laws, transfer pricing, and international tax principles.
  • Experience in managing tax audits, transfer pricing matters and implementing tax-related systems (e.g., e-invoicing) is an advantage.
