JOB OVERVIEW

The Manager, Business Finance is responsible for providing financial leadership, business partnering, and analytical support to drive informed decision-making and sustainable business performance. The role leads budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and financial analysis, while ensuring strong financial governance, effective cost management, and alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day accounting duties, financial management, and reporting for the Angola/UK entity.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive budget management strategies.
  • Produce scheduled financial reports, advanced analyses, and requisite presentation materials in a timely manner.
  • Lead financial analysis initiatives to optimize performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Processing invoices for payments with complying to internal P2P process.
  • Ensuring monthly tax statutory are complied with local requirement (withholding tax and VAT submission)
  • Liaise with internal auditors, external auditors, statutory bodies, and financial institutions for both local and international operations.
  • Performing compliance reporting to statutory bodies (audited account/annual return)
  • Conduct monthly reviews of profit and loss statements, cashflow actuals, and forecasts to meet regional management reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the annual corporate planning process and provide strategic recommendations based on financial insights.
  • Lead and implement finance-related projects, ensuring delivery within timelines and scope.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial, statutory, and corporate governance requirements, while driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as required by the Management.

 

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years working experience in finance / accounting / corporate planning / strategic management and project finance
  • Proven expertise in budget management, financial reporting, and advanced financial analysis.
  • Possess good interpersonal communication and written skills in English.
  • Good analytical skills, meticulous, and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to multi-task, proactive, result-oriented, and able to interact with people at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver results within specific timelines.
  • SAP and advanced Excel experience are required.

 

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Typically 6–10 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, business finance, or commercial finance roles.
  • Experience in business partnering, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
