JOB PURPOSE

To independently support the planning and execution of divestment activities, including asset disposals, equity sell-downs, and exit strategies, ensuring transactions are carried out efficiently, compliantly, and in line with corporate objectives.

 

Key accountabilities

  1. Support team lead in evaluating divestment opportunities, including financial, commercial, and strategic assessments
  2. Coordinate preparation of divestment proposals (Decision Gates : DG Reports, Divestment Decision Review Board DDRB) slides, information memoranda, and internal approval papers (management or board papers)
  3. Oversee compilation of asset or businesses documentations for as part divestment package & upload onto Data Room
  4. Coordinate due diligence processes with internal teams and external advisors (financial, legal, tax, valuers)
  5. Maintain divestment trackers, timelines, and documentation
  6. Assist in valuation analysis, financial modelling, and data compilation
  7. Support negotiation processes by preparing analyses, briefing notes, and transaction materials
  8. Monitor post-divestment obligations and ensure proper handover and documentation
  9. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards
  10. Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by management
  11. Coach and review work of Executives within the division

 

Qualifications / Certifications

Possess a Finance, Accounting, Legal, Business or related discipline; from recognised Higher Learning Institution. Nevertheless the role is open to candidates of other qualifications however with demonstrable related experiences

 

 

Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related fields
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, M&A, investments, strategy, or transaction advisory would be useful
  • Basic understanding of valuation methods, financial statements, and transaction processes
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills
