JOB PURPOSE

Support T&I projects and tenders in completing deliverables for subsea installation work (Pipeline and SURF).
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders with regards to analysis work.
Attend internal and / or external trainings to enhance technical and soft skills.
Ensure all the work done are compliance with internal quality check requirement before issuing to client / MWS.
Ensure the engineering analysis / calculation performed is in accordance with project specifications, client’s specifications and international codes & standards.
Provide review and feedback on detailed engineering deliverables related to T&I engineering.
Attends project or tender meeting on behalf of Subsea Engineering group.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform and/or review the following analysis in minimum:
pipeline installation analyses i.e. start-up, normal lay, laydown, mid-point tie-in, sidewalk, A&R, fatigue, etc.
riser stalk-on installation with davit lift analysis or riser retrofit installation analysis.
stinger profile requirement check / ballast calculations.
flexible, umbilical and cable, installation analyses i.e. start-up, normal lay, pull-in, tie-in. etc.
spool and jumper deployment analysis with optimization of landing stability.
subsea structure deployment and recovery analyses.
miscellaneous calculations (e.g. capstan calculation for j-tube pull-in and contingency recovery, curve stability, preliminary crushing, buoyancy design check, etc.)
all the above analyses in static and dynamic.
Prepare and/or review the analyses and report or technical note.
Perform and/or review additional installation analysis for special cases requirement, if any.
Provide mentoring and internal training to junior engineers.
Involve directly with internal and external stakeholders onboard Sapura or other third party vessel during Offshore Assignment.
Train Subsea Engineer / Graduate Subsea Engineer during Offshore Assignment.
 

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

Possess a Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural / Mechanical); from recognized Higher Learning Institution.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Possess at least eight (8) years total working experience in oil & gas industry; whereby at least five (5) years should be in transportation & installation engineering
 
Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
 
Possess strong analytical skills.
Strong command in English speaking, writing and reporting.
Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and embrace training and mentorship provided.
Be prepared to spend time offshore on Sapura or other third party vessels.
Adopt a positive can do attitude to accelerate learning and provide value to the team.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Display of good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Capable of work smart to meet deadlines.
Advance user of Engineering software such as Orcaflex, OFFPIPE, Mathcad & Autocad.
Well-verse with international codes and standards i.e. DNV, API, etc.
Well-verse with various MWS requirements and clients’ specifications.
