SENIOR COST CONTROLLER II

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, tracking expenses against budgets, and preparing cost reports and forecasts. The role involves analyzing cost variances, identifying financial risks and cost-saving opportunities, and supporting project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining accurate financial reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support budget preparation, cost estimation, and planning activities.
• Prepare work order proposals and related cost documentation.
• Work closely with the Project Management Team (PMT) to ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions in accordance with established deadlines.
• Review and assess the financial impact of change orders and scope changes.
• Prepare and maintain control budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost reports in a timely manner.
• Analyse budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Track commitments, expenditures, and overall project financial performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting to management.
• Identify and manage cost risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with project, finance, procurement, and contract teams.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, project controls, and reporting standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3-4 years’ experience, proficiency in SAP system, and Microsoft Excel, experience in monitoring project costs, analyzing variances, and implementing cost control measures
