JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring the proper application of quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) standards within the organization. This manager must ensure that the company's QHSE policy is followed and implement the necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of activities and services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, review, and implement Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to health, safety, and the environment within the organization's operations. Implement risk control measures and monitor their effectiveness.

Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to quality, health, safety, and environment. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and update organizational policies accordingly.

Training and Education: Provide training and awareness programs to employees at all levels to enhance their understanding of QHSE policies, procedures, and practices. Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Incident Investigation and Analysis: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Analyze trends and patterns to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Auditing and Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and systems to assess compliance with QHSE standards. Develop action plans to address any non-conformities and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate QHSE objectives, performance, and initiatives to internal stakeholders, external partners, regulatory agencies, and the community. Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of responsibility and sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Industry Knowledge and Experience:
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in QHSE management roles within the oil and gas sector.
Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices specific to the industry, including OSHA, EPA, API, and ISO standards.
Proven track record of implementing effective QHSE programs and initiatives in upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
Risk Management and Safety Leadership:
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and developing risk mitigation strategies tailored to the unique hazards and challenges of oil and gas operations.
Strong leadership skills to drive a proactive safety culture, lead emergency response planning and crisis management efforts, and promote continuous improvement in QHSE performance.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders, external partners, regulatory agencies, and the local community.
Ability to communicate QHSE objectives, expectations, and initiatives clearly and persuasively at all levels of the organization.
Experience in leading QHSE training programs, conducting audits, and fostering collaborative relationships to ensure compliance and achieve QHSE goals.
