Job Purpose:
To lead, develop, and implement the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies while promoting a strong safety and quality culture across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. QHSE Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and drive the company’s QHSE strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, and environmental performance.
- Act as the subject matter expert and advisor to senior management on QHSE matters.
2. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and certification bodies.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Champion a proactive safety culture and zero-harm mindset across the organization.
- Monitor workplace safety performance and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis is conducted effectively.
- Ensure proper risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) are conducted and maintained.
4. Quality Management
- Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure processes are standardized, documented, and continuously improved.
- Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and manage non-conformance issues.
5. Training & Awareness
- Develop and implement QHSE training programs for employees and contractors.
- Promote awareness campaigns to embed a strong QHSE culture.
6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track, analyze, and report QHSE KPIs to senior management.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly QHSE reports and dashboards.
7. Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Ensure contractors and vendors comply with QHSE requirements.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on QHSE initiatives.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant QHSE experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in [industry-specific – e.g., Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction, Manufacturing] is preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) / NEBOSH / IOSH
- Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
- DOSH/NIOSH certifications (Malaysia context, if applicable)

- Regulatory compliance with zero major violations
