Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and supervise a team of operations personnel, including operators, technicians, and support staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and performance standards.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training and development needs, and facilitate training programs to enhance skills and competencies.
 
Operational Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas facilities, including production platforms, processing plants, and pipelines.
  • Coordinate with production planning, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize production levels, minimize downtime, and address operational issues.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
 
Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, operational procedures, and best practices to minimize risks and prevent incidents.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and reviews to identify hazards, assess safety performance, and implement corrective actions.
 
Maintenance and Reliability:
  • Collaborate with maintenance and reliability teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring the integrity and reliability of equipment and assets.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule and execute maintenance activities, shutdowns, and turnarounds, minimizing impact on operations and production.
 
Emergency Response and Incident Management:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address potential emergencies, such as spills, leaks, and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and training exercises to ensure readiness and effectiveness in responding to incidents.
  • Manage and coordinate response efforts during emergencies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
 
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational matters, liaising with internal stakeholders, including senior management, engineering, and regulatory compliance teams.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, contractors, and vendors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with project objectives.
