JOB PURPOSE
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conduct periodic engagement sessions with respective BU leaders or leadership team.
Provide guidance on HR policy interpretation and input on BU’s workforce planning, succession and retention plans, organizational restructure, etc.
Analyze trends and metrics, in partnership with other HR functions, to identify needs, and develop business solutions, intervention programs and related policies.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to BU leadership team (coaching, performance improvement, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.)
Assist in the resolution of complex employee relations issues, and conduct fair and thorough investigations if necessary.
Work with all BU stakeholders to improve internal communication, work relationships, teamwork, morale, engagement and retention.
Administer, monitor and evaluate accomplishment of HR programs or initiatives rolled-out in the respective BUs.
Promote business process improvement and best practices implementation in both the HR department and BUs.
Respond to any grievances, non-compliance or discrimination issues that may arise within the work environment
Identify team/individual learning and development needs linked to the BU strategies and objectives, as well as participate in the evaluation of program impacts and outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or equivalent
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
At least between 5-7 years of experience as HR generalist at senior executive level
Tertiary education or professional certification in related discipline
Conversant in Malaysian labor laws and related legislation
Customer-focused, with excellent client management and business literacy skill
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in English
Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support from stakeholders
Ability to understand local and global issues, and effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues
Independent, task-driven and able to manage conflicting priorities from multiple business units in different locations
Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is a managerial/executive position and instrumental to ensure efficient delivery of HR services, both operational and strategic, to the business units (BU) across the organization.
The HRBP works in close partnership with the business to provide advice, coaching, support and influence that will enable BU leaders effectively execute their people plans, and ultimately achieve their team objectives.
As strategic partner, the HRBP helps to align business objectives of the team members within the designated BU. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the BU’s goals, its strategic plans, culture and challenges, that will allow him/her to assess and anticipate relevant needs, and assist in handling the BU leaders HR-related issues.
Within the HR department, HRBP seeks to proactively develop integrated solutions and creates collaboration across the functions to deliver value-added services to BU leaders. Additionally, the HRBP is also actively involved in talent management as well as the implementation of company-wide HR initiatives, projects and campaigns.
