JOB PURPOSE:
The post holder is responsible for managing a team of Buyers and Category Specialists for drilling procurement, ensuring that all materials and services purchased are in line with Vantris Energy Group’s procedures.
Key responsibilties (On going duties and tasks):
For all:
- Knowing, improving, driving and enforcing the Company rules as published in TMS
- Maintaining full compliance with mandatory training requirements, including Code of Conduct related
Position specific:
- Implement end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Increase savings with good procurement initiatives such as TCO, MSA, FPAs etc.
- Lead and mentor supply chain teams
- Set KPIs and evaluate team performance
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration
- Use data analytics to improve decision-making
- Manage Procurement deliverables related to equipment, materials and services requisitions for rigs, warehouses, supply bases in line with relevant Company Policies, Directives & Procedures including Code of Business Conduct.
- Ensuring the best Total Cost of Ownership of procuring Goods and Services (TCO) (inclusive of cost, quality, delivery time, safety requirements, specification).
- Manage critical vendors: The performance feedbacks & internal-external audits.
- Manage scrap disposal and bidding activities across all bases.
- Leading tactical approach in high profile RFP for outright purchase of scrapped rig.
- Heavily involve in subordinates’ skillsets enhancement, promote positive culture and proactive approach.
- Monitor and increase the usage of fixed price agreements and master service agreements. Develop report to support.
- Implement plans to increase efficiency, ensure the purchase requisitions cleared on time and open services PO well-managed.
- Increase savings with good procurement initiatives such as TCO, MSA, FPAs etc.
- Endorse vendor approval process.
Qualifications / Certifications:
- Degree in Engineering/Business Management.
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) would be an advantage.
- CIPS or relevant certification will be an advantage.
Relevant Experience AND PREFERED SKILLS:
- Minimum 10 years in Procurement experience both project and operational preferably in Oil and Gas industry.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience
- Demonstrated experience with commercial contract and contract management.
- Communication skills enabling the influencing of a diverse stakeholders: Budget Owners, Requestors, Vendors etc
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to persuade, influence, explore positions & alternatives to reach outcomes that will gain acceptance of all parties of interest
- Financial Acumen: Take into account the Financial Management Principals and Impact to P&L in decision making
- Ability to drive the team towards achieving KPIs/targets
