HSE ADVISOR (SENIOR)

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment across all operations of the Project. This role will support compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices in health, safety, and environmental management. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure compliance with local regulations (including DOSH Malaysia) and company HSE policies
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and implement effective control measures
• Monitor and report on HSE performance, including incident statistics and KPIs
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Deliver HSE induction, training, and awareness programs to employees and contractors
• Support the development and implementation of HSE procedures, policies, and guidelines
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders on HSE matters
• Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Certified Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registered with DOSH Malaysia is an added advantage
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH / IOSH are preferred

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in HSE, preferably in oil & gas / energy / construction industry
