JOB PURPOSE
Oversees financial operations within the VTEB drilling business, including performance management, accounting and reporting, cost control, and financial planning and analysis, ensuring the accuracy and integrity
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and drive financial forecasting and planning activities, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and objectives.
- Oversee the preparation and integrity of annual budgeted financial statements, providing strategic insights and analysis to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Provide leadership in VTEB’s drilling’s financial consolidation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across all business units.
- Review overall financial performance, identify key risks and opportunities, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and enhance business performance.
- Lead the annual business planning and budgeting cycle, working closely with key stakeholders to align financial and operational targets.
- Ensure governance and compliance in the timely preparation and submission of VTEB’s drilling entities audited financial statements, management reports, and statutory reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Oversee financial closing processes (monthly, quarterly, and annually), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.
- Provide strategic oversight of Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, ensuring strong cash flow management, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations and senior management to monitor project performance, providing financial insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
- Lead financial evaluation and support for CAPEX investments and bidding activities, ensuring sound investment decisions.
- Oversee and validate goodwill assessments and other key accounting judgments, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Possesses Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting OR professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Finance Operations and reporting.
- Experienced in leading and managing teams
- Preferably past working experience in oil & gas service provider companies.
- Proficient in MS Office application and ERP software i.e. Oracle, SAP
- Intuitive and strong communication skills.
- Service minded, with a solution-oriented mindset and a pragmatic approach.
- Ability to proactively look for and identify improvement solutions.
- Working in a lean structure, a team player as well as good independent contributor.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and high intensity working environment and adaptable to changes
