JOB PURPOSE
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Field Operations Support:
Assist senior engineers and field personnel in conducting site visits, inspections, and surveys to assess project progress and identify potential issues.
Participate in construction, installation, and commissioning activities, performing tasks such as equipment setup, measurements, and quality inspections.
Learn and apply engineering principles and best practices to solve technical challenges encountered during field operations.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Learn and follow established procedures and protocols for quality assurance, safety, and environmental compliance at project sites.
Assist in conducting inspections, tests, and verifications to ensure the integrity, functionality, and compliance of equipment, materials, and installations.
Document field observations, deviations, and non-conformities, and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions as directed by senior engineers.
Technical Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and organized documentation of field activities, including daily progress reports, field notes, and inspection records.
Assist in generating technical reports, memos, and presentations summarizing field observations, findings, and recommendations for review by senior engineers and project management.
Contribute to the compilation of as-built documentation, redline drawings, and equipment records for project handover to operations and maintenance teams.
Project Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support the coordination and execution of field activities in alignment with project schedules and objectives.
Communicate effectively with senior engineers and project managers to provide updates on field activities, progress, and issues encountered, and seek guidance as needed.
Participate in project meetings, coordination sessions, and safety briefings to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements and expectations.
Training and Professional Development:
Participate in training programs, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities to develop technical skills, knowledge, and competencies relevant to field engineering and the oil and gas industry.
Seek guidance and mentorship from senior engineers and experienced professionals to enhance your understanding of field operations, engineering principles, and industry practices.
Take initiative to learn new tools, technologies, and techniques that can contribute to improved efficiency, effectiveness, and safety in field operations.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Registered to Board of Engineering (BEM) would be added advantage
