Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / equivalent.
Experience
- 2 to 3 years Electrical, Automation and control system in a service support environment with knowledge of PLC, automation of cranes and offshore equipment.
Knowledge
- Ability to competently and safely perform duties defined in the job description
- Sound knowledge of but not limited to, computer based control systems, PLC’s VFD’s, Computerized Maintenance Systems.
- High level of computer skill.
- Sound knowledge of vessel generation, control, and communication systems, including drilling rigs and vessels.
- Sound knowledge of vessel classifications including but not limited Hazardous areas and IEC regulation
Skill / Attributes / Competencies
- Advanced level Microsoft Office Suite
- Sound level of verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience and certification in, PLC, VFD, power generation and computerized control systems and vessel communications.
- Good people skills and ability to perform at under pressure.
- Good troubleshooting skills including high level conference calls with vessels requiring assistance
Main Responsibilities
- Electrical Engineer assumes the position of assisting in the administration, maintenance,
- Electrical Engineer will have a sound knowledge of vessel electrical, electronics, communications and computerized systems and will be utilized in all these areas.
- Asist with offshore troubleshooting • Assist with onshore records of all Sapura Energy Vessels Electrical and Automation Systems
- Assist with all Electrical onshore documentation
Minimum Job Functions
- Assist Sapura Energy Onshore Electrical and Automation department engineers and systems.
- Support to onshore engineers to all SE vessel maintenance and management teams regarding all aspects of Electrical and Automation.
- Assist vessel management in the maintenance and troubleshooting of all Electrical and Automation systems including offshore visits for assistance and experience
- Assist vessel management in the maintenance and troubleshooting of all power generation, electronics, communications and computerized systems.
- Communicate regularly with vessel management onshore and offshore
