Key Roles

  1. Becoming focal person for technology and digitalization.
  2. Work together with department head in maintaining, enhancing, integrating and upgrading technology and digitalization.
  3. Provide technical solutions, input and feedback within the company for technology, digitalization, IT/OT including vessel, diving, ROV, AUV, USV and digital video recording system.
  4. Conduct and document the connectivity audit on vessels — measure actual bandwidth, latency and stability under offshore operational conditions.
  5. Design and commission the encrypted vessel-to-onshore VPN tunnel supporting Remote Operations Centre (ROC) live operation & monitoring capability.
  6. Commission and technically manage the ROC monitoring room — workstations, screens, network rack, leased line, and video conferencing infrastructure.
  7. Coordinate and manage the independent maritime cybersecurity penetration test before any live ROC connection is established; maintain compliance documentation for IMO MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3.
  8. Manage technology & digitalization deployment for project, operations, onboard vessel and office.
  9. Own and maintain the digitalization programme action tracker — updated weekly, shared with all workstream leads, and reviewed at agreed timeline.
  10. Prepare the update/progress document — status summary, milestone progress, issues log, and prior actions — circulated to relevant parties.
  11. Manage all vendor engagements for IT infrastructure, IMS platform, cybersecurity audit, and procurement — with Supply Chain Management.
  12. Coordinate with the relevant department on procurement of equipment related to digitalization.
  13. Maintain all digitalization programme documents — board paper, risk register, execution checklist, and change management plan — updated when decisions or circumstances change.
  14. Identify, provide solution & escalate technology & digitalization integration risks between department.
  15. Perform any other duties related to IT/OT, technology and digitalization as required by the company

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline. Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, or Marine Engineering equivalents accepted.
  • Networking or cybersecurity certification (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Demonstrable equivalent practical experience accepted in lieu.
